Optional tours have been arranged of Leighs Paints Intumescent Coating Test Facility and Bodycote Warringtonfire’s Testing Laboratories on the afternoon of Tuesday April 21st
Those people confirmed as going on a tour should assemble at the FRT09 Registration Desk in the foyer of the Darwin Building at 1.15pm, ready to get on a coach to either to Leighs Paints or Bodycote Warringtonfire. Food is available for purchase before the tour either in the shop or at Scholars Restaurant which are both in Foster Building.
There will be an opportunity to visit UCLan’s Fire Laboratory in the Harris Building on Wednesday April 22nd.

The symposium is being held at the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) at Preston hosted by the Centre for Fire and Hazards Science, in the School of Forensic and Investigative Sciences.

The UCLan campus at Preston is a modern green oasis in the heart of England’s newest city. Exhibition and Poster Display
An exhibition and poster display featuring the latest developments in fire retardant technology will be held on 22 and 23 April in the spacious foyer of the Darwin Building and there will be plenty of time for delegates to talk with exhibitors and poster presenters between lecture sessions.

Meals
The registration fee includes the Welcome Reception sponsored by INCA AB on the evening of 21 April, the Symposium Cocktail Reception and Dinner on the evening of 22 April and lunches and refreshments at UCLan during the symposium on 22 and 23 April.
The Symposium Cocktail Reception will be held at the National Football Museum which is located at the home of Preston North End Football Club. There will be the chance to tour the National Football Museum and its Hall of Fame. Those who are feeling energetic and competitive can also play Goalstriker. The Symposium Dinner will be held at Heathcotes at the Sir Tom Finney Stand at Preston North End Football Club. Paul Heathcote is one of the top chefs in the UK and a visit to one of his restaurants is an experience not to be missed.
