Chemistry in the Oil Industry XI: Regulation Meets Innovation - Moving Forward
|
Introduction: |
The primary objective of the symposium is to showcase new chemistry albeit within
an increasingly regulated marketplace.
REACH and OSPARCOM Regulations are with us and two sessions of the
symposium will focus on what the current regulations are and some of the
thinking behind how legislation may develop in the future. Meeting REACH
requirements can be very expensive for raw material producers, formulators and
end-rs and speakers will show how companies can work in SIEFs and
Consortia to minimize the cost of their businesses becoming REACH compliant.
In addition, the symposium will cover all aspects of chemistry in the upstream and
downstream sectors of the oil and gas industries. There will be a particular
focus in the upstream sector on innovative chemical solutions which can be
applied to extend the economic life of mature wells or to enhance the
profitability of new fields while meeting increasingly stringent environmental
regulation.

Information for Exhibitors |
| |
There will be an exhibition in Weston Room 2 at the Manchester Conference Centre. All refreshments will be served just outside the exhibition room so there should be plenty of chances for contact with delegates.
Exhibitors are given a 3 metre wide exhibition space by 1.5 metres deep so display boards can be erected. Exhibitors may hire more than one exhibition space if required.
There are electrical power points within relatively easy reach of the exhibition stand areas. Extension leads and splitter boxes are not provided. It would be wise to bring spotlights to enhance your stand.
Tables, chairs and display boards can be provided if required.
Set up will be from 6pm - 8pm on Monday 2 November or between 8.30am – 10.30am on Tuesday 3 November
The cost for an exhibition space is £450+VAT. Special rates for exhibitors are available for companies sponsoring the Symposium (see below). The cost of refreshments and lunches for up to two people per day manning the stand is included in the Exhibitor Fee. Any additional personnel manning the stand who are not registered to attend the symposium will be charged at the following rate:-
Refreshments and lunch at Manchester Conference Centre for = £50/person/day. (This is the e conference Centre’s Daily Delegate Fee which I will be charged). Optional attendance at the Symposium Reception and Dinner on November 3rd - a Chinese Banquet at the Yang Sing restaurant = £50/person. |
